One day I came back to my mother’s home. She plucked a couple of white chamomile flowers, made a pot of chamomile tea, and introduced it to me, “The chamomile tea has a delicate fragrance. It can help relieve visual fatigue.” I sipped the tea, feeling very warm. When we chatted, she asked about my mother-in-law’s health. I told her worriedly, “She is suffering from a heart attack these days, and has to lie on the bed all day long. Although she has seen doctors of Chinese medicine and Western medicine, and has taken many medicines, it doesn’t work. The doctors said this disease would take a long time to cure.” On hearing this, she hastily told me, “The crocus can cure heart disease. Poach an egg with three flowers for your mother-in-law every day. If she insists on eating it, her heart disease will soon be cured.” Hearing her words, I happily took the pot of crocus home, and did as she told me. After more than ten days, my mother-in-law was really cured and she could lead a normal life. I gladly told my mother, “This recipe is really wonderful!” From then on, my mother-in-law also planted several pots of crocus. After they bloomed, she plucked the flowers off and dried them in the shade for future use.
My husband didn’t eat regularly for years due to his work as a long-distance driver, and he often had drinks with his friends. As a result, he got gastrorrhagia and his gastric mucosa prolapsed. He had been to many hospitals and taken plenty of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, but none of them could cure gastrorrhagia, and he still couldn’t keep anything down. I was very worried and frightened. Seeing that he grew steadily weaker, I didn’t know what to do. I thought to myself, “He takes so many medicines every day, but hasn’t gotten better. If it goes on like this, won’t our life be finished? Our child is still young; if something happens to him, what should I do?” At that time, I felt worried and often shed tears in secret. Once I met an old man when I went to buy medicine for my husband. In chatting, I told him about my husband’s disease. He said to me, “I know a plant called sanchi. Its leaf is big and green; its root is in the shape of a garlic bulb. Mash its leaves or root, and then mix it with honey for your husband to eat. It’s the best cure for gastric mucosal prolapse, better than any medicine. After that, tell him to eat some aloes to subdue the inflammation. And he’ll be fine soon.” After hearing his words, I said thanks to him but doubted in my heart: I’ve spent several thousand yuan on my husband’s disease but to no effect. What you recommended is just an ordinary plant; could it be able to cure my husband’s disease? Since I had no other way for it, I did as the old man told me, with the attitude of giving it a try. To my surprise, my husband was indeed cured before long. He bade farewell to the pain which twisted his face, and the long-forgotten expression of a smile appeared on his face. This made me truly feel that these plants seem to be unremarkable, yet they can cure serious diseases.
Also, I was mystified, “Even so many imported medicines couldn’t cure my husband’s disease, while those unremarkable plants and flowers made it. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I really couldn’t believe it.” An immediate curiosity stirred in me and I was wondering: Where do these plants and flowers come from? Why do they have such amazing medical effects in nature?
Until I believed in God, I finally understood the mystery within it.s say: “In regard to the sources of food for the lives of mankind’s physical bodies, God has made very precise, very accurate and very suitable preparations, so that people’s lives are rich and plentiful and not lacking in anything. This is something people can feel and see. Additionally, among all things, whether it is animals, plants, or all kinds of grass, God also created some plants that are necessary to resolve harm or illness to the human body. What do you do, for instance, if you get burned? Can you wash it with water? Can you just find a piece of cloth somewhere and wrap it up? It might fill up with pus or get infected that way. What do you do, for instance, if you get scalded accidentally by a flame or by hot water? Can you flush it with water? For instance, if you get a fever, catch a cold, suffer an injury from physical work, a stomach ailment from eating the wrong thing, or develop certain diseases due to living habits or emotional issues, such as vascular diseases, psychological conditions or diseases of the internal organs—there are corresponding plants to cure all of these. There are plants that improve blood circulation to remove stagnation, relieve pain, stanch bleeding, provide anesthesia, help people recover normal skin, eliminate blood stasis in the body, and eliminate toxins from the body. In short, they can all be used in daily life. They are of use to people and have been prepared by God for the human body in case of need. Some of these were allowed by God to be inadvertently discovered by man, while others were discovered from certain special phenomena or by certain people prepared by God. Following their discovery, mankind would pass them down, and then many people would know about them. This way, God’s creation of these plants has value and meaning. In short, these things are all from God and were prepared and planted when He created a living environment for mankind. All of these things are very necessary.”
From God’s words I understood: God knows us mankind very well; He knows what disease we’ll get and what suffering we’ll have when we live in this world. Therefore, before He created us, He had prepared those corresponding plants with medical effects for us in case of need. As people often say, “Every medicine has its side effect.” After my mother-in-law and my husband took the medicines for their diseases, they suffered from their side effects. This was really spending money to buy pain. But the plants created by God have no side effects on our body; they are natural medicines bestowed by God to resolve our illness for free. For instance, my mother-in-law, in order to cure her heart disease, had ever seen doctors of Chinese medicine and Western medicine. She had taken many medicines without success and the doctors had no other way. Yet, after she ate the eggs poached with crocus for some days, her heart disease was eventually cured. Also, my husband suffered from gastrorrhagia and gastric mucosal prolapse, even though he took many traditional Chinese medicines and Western medicines. Yet, after he ate the mashed leaves of sanchi with honey for a while, his diseases were marvelously cured.
for us is far more than this. There are many other kinds of flowers which can not only embellish our life but can be used for our body in case of need. For example, jasmine can smooth the liver, improve eyesight, keep our skin moist, and help us have a good complexion; and rosebuds have a remarkable efficacy of removing freckles and smoothing away wrinkles. And their effects are discovered and known to us through all kinds of people, matters, and events arranged by God at a proper time. Seeing that God doing all these things is for us mankind, that all these things contain God’s love for us, I can’t help exclaiming from my heart: God’s deeds are so wondrous. May all the glory and authority be to the one and only true God!
